Captains

I was previously on the middle school robotics team at Butcher, so that was a big factor. The thing that brought me back for robotics this year however was my love for my team and everyone a part of it.
I had always wanted to do robotics since middle school but there wasn’t enough spots so I jumped on the chance to finally join a team my freshman year.
I was inspired by the opportunity to learn something new and challenging and be able to apply my knowledge in a real life setting.
Nathan Le                                                                     Matthew White                                                                   Noah Cafagna

Mechanical

The mechanical sub-team works with the design, building, and wiring of the robot
It seemed interesting and I thought it would be fun to design and build a robot.
I was inspired by my friends to join robotics. I saw how much they enjoyed learning about the critical skills needed in STEM and wanted to get a hands-on learning experience.
I joined robotics to explore something extremely different from my other hobbies, and so that I could gain valuable skills like brainstorming ideas and then actually creating them.
Rachel H. (SUBTEAM LEAD)                                                          Lamisa Uddin                                                                  Patricia Leoncio
I joined robotics to widen my mechanical skills in order to get a better understanding of what goes into building a robot.
I am interested in everything to do with mechanics and technology. I would like to build my experiences as an engineer. I also think it will be a lot of fun.
In all honesty have no clue what engineering is about and want to see what it’s like through robotics and see if I enjoy this enough to become an engineer
Wren Blase                                                                      Matvey Pukalo                                                            Mohammed Shohan
I wanted to try something new, as i dont know much about it.
I want to be an engineer in the future and jointing robotics is the perfect way to get a head start in this career.
My friends were all doing it so I decided to join too, I’m so glad I did decided to because I’ve made so many more friends :)
Hamzeh  Arafat                                                               Imtiaz Qureshi                                                                      Leah Stchur
Develop experience in the mechanical field.
My sisters Abby and Ellen, having an interest in robotics and what I saw them doing. Going to competitions when they were on the team.
Kendal James                                                                    Alex Evers                                                                               John Peirce
Watching competition videos and how cool the games were!
My goal is to become an engineer and Robotics is a good foundation to start with
I’ve always wanted to build things and my friends said I should join.
Samia Ambia                                                                   Tahmid Ambia                                                                        Lily Shafer
The thing that inspired me to join robotics is the experience I am going to get in the engineering field. I want to learn the basics of engineering.
I found out about it when I went to butcher in 5th grade and I want to do it
Eric Mize                                                                            Phillip Luu                                                                            Devin Clogg
The idea of building a robot to do a complicated task
I was inspired to join robotics because I may be interested in pursuing a degree in engineering or something similar and I believe the experience will be very useful. I also love being able to spend time with my friends.
Andrew Hanna                                                                      David Roush                                                                          Case Dattalo
I always had an interest in robots ever since I knew it was a thing and love being hands on and learn how to do new thing be able to build a robot to do things and to meet new people who has the same interest as me To have fun and to learn things that’s could help me in the future and to be able to work in group with out a problem.

                                             Syed

PrograMming

The programing sub-team works with all of the programing of the robot, including drivetrain and interacting with game elements.
I’ve always been interested in programming and when I heard that you can learn that at robotics, I decided that I wanted to be a part of it.
I was informed about it from my friends and they convinced me to come to the first meeting then I was hooked because I loved everything about it
Being able to expand what I already know about code and robotics as a whole and learn new things and skills I didn't have.
Jaxon Anderson (SUBTEAM LEAD)                                 Jack Stevenson(SUBTEAM LEAD)                                                    Steven Lee
Interest in the Field
Gio Mandawee                                                                    Sam Sikorski                                                                           Noah Tonn
My sister and I also wanted to help program the robot.
After seeing all the mechanics of the robot, I wondered what the process for everything was and how challenging the competition was.
I did it in middle school and I really enjoyed it
Maaj Rahman                                                                      Anthony Le                                                                             Josef Azuz
Computer Science is a field I've been very interested in for a while, and my friends were in robotics as well. I decided to give it a shot, since it was a good intro to a desired area of expertise, with a sense of familiarity.
                              Miles Weckerle

Logistics

The logistics sub-team takes care of website maintenance, award submissions, and team clothing.
Through my enjoyment of engineering in general, as well as being involved with robotics since middle school, I joined Team 818.
I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and try something that I wouldn't normally do.
Logistics really peaked my interest because it allowed me contribute ideas through design and outreach even though I don't know much about robots.
Chris Marsack (SUBTEAM LEAD)                                                   Tasnim Uddin                                                                     Tammy Lam
To enhance my leadership skills, and to learn something new!
The chance to get involved in something that allows me to further develop my leadership skills.
I continued robotics this year because I enjoyed the sense of belonging I had with people who shared similar interests and purposes as me. I had fun last year, and that was online, so I'm even more excited for this year.
Kushleen Khera                                                                Calvin Nguyen                                                               Janellyn Woo
I joined robotics to branch into a new hobby and connect with a community full of people with similar passions ඞ
I was a member of the middle school team and greatly enjoyed being apart of it.
I did FTC and enjoyed it so I thought that I should join in high school.
Nicole Membere                                                            Kyra Pentecost                                                                          Diane Le
